Nissan, Researchers Working To End Traffic Jams With Smart Highways

Innovation has been an important part of modern autos. These days, you would certainly be hard-pressed to locate an auto when driving that does not have electronics. And now, an experiment was wrapped up with the objective of using innovation to finish traffic and also improve general flexibility.

Nissan North America, along with the Circles Consortium containing researchers from Vanderbilt University, UC Berkeley, Temple University, as well as Rutgers University-Camden, coordinated with the Tennessee Department of Transportation for an experiment that aims to raise gas cost savings and ease website traffic.

The five-day open-track screening was done from November 14 to 18 on a newly opened, sensor-filled portion of US Interstate 24 called the I-24 Motion.
