AutoHunter Spotlight: 1947 Ford Woody Wagon

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a custom 1947 Ford Woody Wagon actively registered with the National Woody Club.

“Continuing with a chassis that debuted in 1941, the 1947 Ford models saw some slight updates from prior years including removal of accent lights from the grille, relocation of the parking lights to below the headlights, and a smoothing of the exterior molding texture,” the auction notes in the wagon’s listing.

This woody wagon’s mostly original wood paneling is accented by black paint and cloth top. It features a two-piece windshield and brightwork on the bumpers, grille, headlight rings and side moldings.

The interior, which appears to be in good shape, houses a black leather bench seat and wooden door panels matching the full headline wood framework. On the black color-matched dash is a modern Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit that’s connected to three subwoofers found in the rear cargo area.

When you open the hood, you’ll find custom airbrush flames pointing towards the 350cid V8 engine sourced from a 1985 Chevrolet Blazer and connected to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.

The odometer shows 7,200 miles, although true chassis mileage is unknown.

This Woody’s auction ends July 15 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
